Värmdö Gymnasium, one of Stockholm's most attractive high schools, is centrally located at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm.

The school has approximately 1300 students distributed across five college preparatory programs: EK, ES, NA, SA, and TE. Värmdö Municipality is the principal, but our students come from all over Greater Stockholm.

The operations are characterized by commitment and creativity and are focused on education, academic studies, and professional life. All teachers at the school are certified. Centrally located in the school is our fine library. For students in need of special support, we have a well-functioning studio. Värmdö Gymnasium is the school where students thrive and are given good conditions for learning and a democratic approach. Collaboration has made Värmdö Gymnasium one of Stockholm's most successful schools. We are now looking for another knowledgeable and committed study and career counselor who shares our focus on learning, collaboration, and well-being. The position is 40% but may become larger in the coming years.

The role of the study and career counselor means that you are part of the student health team together with the school nurse, counselor, special educator, and program director. The student health service should promote students' learning, development, and health. The assignment includes guiding our students through meetings both individually and in groups. Informing and inspiring students regarding individual choices and future study and career choices. Some administration regarding students' study plans is also included.

We are looking for someone with a degree in study and career counseling and experience from high school. You focus on the needs of the students and are skilled at motivating and guiding them towards their goals. You are self-driven and have a great ability to both organize your work and prioritize among tasks.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, are attentive, and have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You enjoy working with young people and seeing them develop. You will work closely with the school's two current study and career counselors.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
